Sarah Kate Couch, DO, provides care with Springfield Clinic's Family Medicine team at Springfield Clinic Runde.Dr. Couch earned her medical degree from Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Lynchburg, Va. She completed her family medicine residency at the Community Hospital East Family Medicine Residency in Indianapolis, Ind.Dr. Couch knew she wanted to enter the medical field after an influential volunteering experience on a hospital ship in Africa. "It really solidified that I wanted to go to medical school and that I wanted to continue to care for people, " she says.Dr. Couch is passionate about forming positive relationships with her patients, and offering a listening ear when they need to talk."I specifically love family medicine because I get to be a part of their lives when they're healthy and when they're sick, " says Dr. Couch. "I get to see my patients grow and get healthier, and get to walk alongside them through that journey."In her free time, Dr. Couch loves spending time outside, reading, going to the movies and playing with her dog.
